30 Before 30: Pray and Trust God In You

Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers, they hated him all the more. 6He said to them, "Listen to this dream I had: 7We were binding sheaves of grain out in the field when suddenly my sheaf rose and stood upright, while your sheaves gathered around mine and bowed down to it."
8His brothers said to him, "Do you intend to reign over us? Will you actually rule us?" And they hated him all the more because of his dream and what he had said.
9Then he had another dream, and he told it to his brothers. "Listen," he said, "I had another dream, and this time the sun and moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me."
10When he told his father as well as his brothers, his father rebuked him and said, "What is this dream you had? Will your mother and I and your brothers actually come and bow down to the ground before you?" 11His brothers were jealous of him, but his father kept the matter in mind.  Genesis 37:5-11

If your voice is tuned to God's voice, many times along your journey, you will receive divine insights, inspired thoughts, visions, and dreams from God to direct you along the way. Sometimes they may seem far-fetched, strange and even hurtful but you must believe.  Even when others come to discourage you or to question your plans, you must keep believing that what God showed you will come to pass.

Here's the ever important why: if you only trust God as you see Him in others, you will ignore the voice in you and miss out on the opportunities that are promised for you along the way.  Yes God can get the message to you through others, but it is God's will to connect with each of us individually and have personal relationships with us. On the flip side, if you don't trust God and what He has shown or spoken to you, you abort the promises on your life.

I extend this to apply to an instruction or direction or revelation that God gives you.  Some people may have good intentions with their advice, and they may even pray, but only you are in the midst of that situation and only you can discern what God is having you do.  Get in the Bible for yourself, get in your prayer closet to get a word and peace for yourself, and then get wise counsel.

With Joseph, had he listened to his brothers and even his father, he would have aborted his promotion.  If he would have turned his back on God after those that were supposed to loved him sold him into slavery, he would have aborted his purpose and everything he went through would have been in vain.

So today, pray and trust God in you to see you through it all!

You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.  Genesis 50:20
